Child and Teen Therapy

Child and Teen Therapy

Our approach to child and adolescent psychotherapy is guided by empirical research on cognitive, behavioral, developmental, attachment, interpersonal, and family functioning.

Children and teens may experience a variety of behavioral, emotional,  or social concerns. We start our process with a diagnostic assessment to achieve an accurate diagnosis. We then work with you to develop a treatment plan that focuses on addressing the identified areas of concern and symptom reduction. The treatment plan is based on effective approaches for the identified diagnosis, taking into account the child or teens current level of functioning. For example, if a child is experiencing depressive thoughts or depression, we may employ age-appropriate cognitive-behavioral approaches to address the concern. We will partner with you to identify the most appropriate, evidence-based treatments to address psychological challenges and promote psychological wellness.
